Page history last edited by Anonymous 2 yrs ago

JAWS (Job Access With Speech) is a Screen Reader - a software program that enable individuals who are blind or visually impaired to access text and graphics on the computer screen by voice output, enlarged text, and/or with a refreshable braille display.

JAWS uses an internal multilingual software speech synthesizer called Eloquence for JAWS and the computer's sound card for voice output.

JAWS is made by a company named Freedom Scientific, which offers a free demonstration to download at www.freedomscientific.com/fs_products/JAWS_HQ.asp#Downloads.
